When you enter an answer, the results of the poll so far will appear.
When the Why Knot Team selects the members to be feature on the homepage, they will take your ratings into consideration.

You must be logged into your profile firstly. Click on the member’s photo that you are interested in. Then click on “My info” (this can be done from the tab at the top, located under “My Profile”). So basically, click on the member’s photo, then My Profile, then My Info.

Yes by not submitting any text.
Kindly note, all new blogs are featured on the home page, nothing to get alarmed about, after all you do want a response don't you.
In any event, should you want to change this and make it visible only for members, we recommend that you change all of the following questions below to members only.
For example, this can be done by changing the “Allow viewing to Members”, also change the “Allow rating to Members” and the “Allow posting comments to Members” as per the screen shot below.

When you find a profile of a member that you would like to become friends with, you can click on the “Befriend” button which will send an email to that member notifying them that you want to become friends.
If you click on a member’s photo that you know might interest a friend of yours who is not registered with Why Knot, you can invite your friend to view that member’s profile.
Your friend will receive an email, as per the example below. All you have to do is click on the “Share” radio button and away you go.

This can be done by hovering over a member’s photo that you would like to block, where a pop up block will appear as per the example above & click on the “Block” radio button. Kindly note, it can take a few seconds for the pop up block to appear so please be patient.
All you have to do here is hover over the member’s photo that you want to make one of your favorites and click on the “Fave” radio button, as per the screen shot above.
After hovering over the new or current member’s photo, wait for the pop up block to appear, and then click on the “Greeting” radio button.

Once this is done, the Why Knot Team will immediately be notified via email & will then take the necessary steps to rectify the situation immediately.
You will find this feature at the bottom and at the right hand side of the site, next to the following quick link icons: Mail, Shopping Cart, “My Friends” (click on this icon), Dashboard, Settings, and Logout.

IM (Instant Messenger) can only be accessed once another member is online, i.e. you & another member must be logged into your respective accounts at the same time.
You can access IM by clicking on the quick link icon, My Friends, which is next to the Shopping Cart icon.
The IM (Instant Messaging Button) looks like a film strip, which is next to the online member’s photo.

Kindly note, this feature is only available on this bottom tool bar under My Friends, under the heading “Online Friends”.
Make sure you click directly on this film strip (as shown in screen shot above) in order to launch the IM (chat) module. You can only chat to one member at a time. See example below of IM chat.
Once you have accessed the IM chat window, a pop up messenger box will appear and away you go! See screen shot below.

You can also bold your words, change them to italics, underline them, change your font colour and add a smiley or two. Over and above that you can also clear the content by clicking on the clear box, ask for help by clicking on the question mark, change your settings as per the screen shot above and change your status.
You can also access the IM chat window by going to check which members are online by clicking on “Members” and then from the drop down menu, clicking on “Online”. Then by hovering over a member’s photo, click on “Video Chat” and the same IM chat window will appear, as per the example below.

You can also Increase or decrease the size of your Smile sets that you are able to use in your IM chat. By clicking on the Settings icon, you can change your Fonts, the look or “Skins” of your IM chat window and more, as per the example below.

Yes, by all means, once you click on the “Advanced Settings” button which is located at the bottom of the IM chat window, you will be able to.
You can allow Why Knot access to your microphone & webcam should you have this equipment available to you. Kindly note, only 1 person needs to have a webcam for the other person to view. So if you are chatting to a member that doesn't have a photo up, we recommend you request access to their webcam that is if they have one as per the example below.

After hovering over the new or current member’s photo, wait for the pop up block to appear, and then click on the “Greeting” radio button. This will send an email to the member informing them that you have said hello. Kindly note, you can also see which members you have sent greetings to by clicking on the “My Profile” tab, then from the drop down menu, click on “My Activity”, clicking on “From”, or “To” for example will show you who has sent you greetings & who you have sent greeting to. Please see the example below if you are unsure as to where to go to view this.

This is a feature which we at Why Knot promote, as our members’ security & safety is important to us.

Kindly note, the system automatically diverts you to your My Activity page, Friends Requests as per the example below, as you can see it’s empty as the radio button on the left hand side is set on “To”

This block may or may not be empty as you need to click on the radio button on the left and change it from "To” or to "From”, then will you see the requests which you as the member have sent out or received from another member as per the example below. So you can toggle between the two if you wish to do so.

I.e. if the friends requests page is blank, change the radio button selection on the left, as the friend requests is not always blank....
Once you have clicked on your Friend Requests they will disappear from the bottom tool bar, as per the screen shot below.

Once you have clicked on the “Back Invite” button, it will ask you to select a member that you no longer want to invite as your friend, basically taking your friend request back!
Once you have ticked the box on the left hand side of a member’s photo, you will be prompted to confirm your decision, by asking you “Are you sure?” as per the example below.

Once you have confirmed this, the selected member will be removed from your friend’s requests, as per the example below. You can see now that you only have two friend requests that you have sent out instead of three.

A web browser is a software application for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web. In some cases each web browser can display the same website in a different format, or may not display all the content on that website properly.
Here are some of the web browsers that are currently used:
Microsoft's Internet Explorer: Most Internet users are using Internet Explorer because it's supposed to be easy to use and most websites are written with Internet Explorer in mind, meaning that they are supposed to be compatible. However, should you wish to view our website properly you will be required to have the latest version of IE which is version 8 or select another web browser, like:
Opera: Opera is another popular browser that's easy to use; I would recommend Opera if you have an outdated version of IE.
Mozilla's Firefox: Firefox is rapidly gaining ground right behind Internet Explorer because of its tabbed browsing, superior security features, and fast load; Opera has these excellent features as well.
Mac Safari: Specifically for Mac users, Safari is an excellent choice for a Web browser, with fast load and good compatibility with most websites out there.
Safari and Chrome are also available just to name a few.
If you are having trouble displaying our website please try another browser, there are plenty to choose from. Just because you have windows, doesn't mean you still have to use IE. Make a change. I would recommend using Opera or Mozilla's Firefox instead.
Once you have confirmed this, the selected member will be removed from your friend’s requests, as per the example below. You can see now that you only have two friend requests that you have sent out instead of three.
